5 out of 5 stars Corolla Power Window Master Switch 2001   April 28, 2010

Works like it is supposed to. I am very satisfied. Don't let the dealerships rip you off. I called them and they wanted $289 for this part. WTF. Are they aware of the internet? Purchase this item. It is easy to install.

Power Window switch was a new item, not used, it has been working great as a replacement for broken power window switch, very easy install as well. good seller.

4 out of 5 stars Costs a 1/4 the price of the Toyota part   February 24, 2010

I ordered this item for my 2001 Corolla S Driver's window. I was told by Toyota that my switch was bad (Driver's window wouldn't roll up), but actually found it was a problem with the motor. Replaced the switch anyways and it has worked fine. It's been installed for almost 2 months and haven't had any problems so far.

I bought this item October 7th, I installed on October 20th, and it failed on December 14th.

Don't waste your money.

I contacted the seller and said I would update the review if they replaced the item with one that worked. This is the reply I got:

You are fully covered by our warranty policy -- I'm sorry to hear that you chose to leave an unwarranted negative review for us on Amazon. Our policy is to wait until such feedback is removed before assisting customers. This is based on previous experience with people who do such things. In most cases, they leave the negative feedback after claiming they will remove it no matter what we do for them. Let me know when the feedback is gone, and I'll be happy to help you take advantage of our warranty policy.

Thanks,

Mark "

Gee Mark, when I purchased the product I didn't see anything about the lifetime warranty coverage being dependent on me giving your product a good review. So amazon shoppers, I am taking the $55 hit for the privilege of warning you.

I opened up the failed product, and I found that poor soldering at the manufacturer caused a short. A pretty spectacular short.

Thanks switch doctor!
